Kumi’s paws are very affected by the allergy

She is biting an licking her paws a lot

Since last time I wrote here she was doing much better after just a few days with Cortavance, but now she is much worse than for a long time.

Even though I know she will be better again when the pollen season has settled, it is hard for her right now. She is biting and licking until the fleash is visible and she has got an infection.

I put on Cortavance and she has to wear a “funnel” to protect her skin. So sad for her and for me as well, because we were about to do the test for tracking in this weeks ahead. Hope she will soon be better so she can do what she is best at and she loves…

My name is Lina Johansson and I live in Sweden. I have had Akitas since the year 2006. At the moment I own three Akitas - Ninjo, Kumi and Naomi. I am very found of Akitas and I really want them to be a healthy and great family member. Why not also in the future a dog that you can use for tracking, hunting, guarding or any other useful work! That will make them even more valuable for us! Let us work together! Kind regards Lina

So sad to hear (not only because of the tracking). I believe she should be a city-girl during summer – that has helped me with my pollen allergy 😉

Yes, she should be a city-girl, though the city is more modern nowadays so there are a lot of trees there too…
