Mackerel is tasty!

We put oil on Manuel’s food in periods, but of course the “real thing” is even better. Just think about it…

My four legged food expert

Manuel never ever agrees to “catch food in the air”. When he was younger he agreed to catch it, but immediately put it on the ground so he could smell it before deciding if it was something he should eat. Actually I used him as an expert for evaluating if e.g. meat was perfectly hung (0n the verge of being too old), or if it was just too old. He smelled it and then told me what to do…

Manuel likes it boiled so that his food is warm. He comes and  and sniffs at the doorway when I cook for him. If it smells good he waits. If he does not like the smell he walks away.

Good for the skin

Of course the fish skin should be eaten, and that is also highly recommended when serving salmon.
