A big chunk of hair came off

Is it mite? Vermin? 

Today I went for a walk with Manuel. A walk like any other – I thought.

As he walked a bit ahead of me I suddenly saw a dark spot on his left ear.
I asked Manuel to stop and went closer. Then I saw that wasn’t really a dark spot. It was a chunk of fur sticking out a bit. I took hold of it and almost everything came off.

By “everything” I really mean everything.

  • the hairs
  • the hair follicles/roots
  • the wool/under-coattopcoat, and I mean ALL of the undercoat/wool – 100%

The hair follicles where dry and transparent.  When I came home I had a closer look and saw that both his ears were very dry and flaky.

No, it is Sebaceous Adenitis (SA)

Even though I really really did not want it to be… I just KNEW deep down that it was Sebaceous Adenitis (SA)…
